Dan was home and I was at work when Dan received a call from our adoption agency. She asked if I was with Dan. Well, I wasn't, but Dan did not hesitate to try to reach me. He called my workplace and had several people looking for me. I happened to finish with my meeting and checked my phone--I was very surprised to see a call from Dan!
I quickly called him back, and he told me that the agency had called. He would either come to school or I should come home. I walked into the hallway, phone still in hand and made my way to a colleague's office. I was in shock! I told her I was going to be a Mom!! She said of course I had to go home, and she walked with me to the main office so that I could let my administration know that I was requesting to leave...
By the time I arrived home, Dan was waiting for me outside of our apartment with his iPhone ready to videotape me! We asked our neighbors John & Suzanne to join us for the call so that they could videotape us receiving the news.
We called our company to get the news...we had a baby girl!!
After 6 years of "labor" our beautiful daughter was matched to us!
Her given name is Feng Xiang Han and she is from the Jiangxi Province, Peoples Republic of China.
She was born on June 20, 2010--the Year of the Tiger!
Congrats to you! We received our referral last month and our daughter is out of the same orphanage. She is darling! So happy for you! The best is yet to come for YOU!

Exciting!! Judging by her name she may be from my daughter's orphanage as her name was Feng Jiang Yan. Abby is from Fengxin and it is a pretty good orphanage. It's clean, though bare, but the nannies appear to really care for the children! Congratulations again!
