Gotcha!!!

What a day!!

Awoke at 3 AM to thunder, lightening and heavy rain in Beijing. While these things don't usually bode well for travel, I thought this was a good sign. A cleansing rain, washing away the oppressive humidity and the ever present Beijing haze. Kay and I spent the better part of the next couple of hours reflecting on where we have been, what the day would bring, and how we would be handling our new life.

We had a 6 AM pickup for a 7:50 AM flight to Nanchang. The air was much better with the recent rain making Beijing a better place, and no traffic that early on a Sunday, so we were at the airport in no time. Things were falling in place nicely for gotcha day. We met another family who were on their way to their own special day in Nanchang as well.

We landed, luggage showed up, and we were on the way to the hotel.

Ok, who am I kidding, enough of the setup...WE GOT JENNY MEI!!!!!

Started out a little rough, the orphanage guys came up to the room with our guide from AHH, they handed Jenny to Kay, and there were tears, mostly Jenny, and maybe some Kay as well. An hour later the crying had mostly stopped and we were hand feeding Jenny cereal, an hour later she was smiling, and an hour after that we had laughter!!!
